Who we are

Abideen College is a not for profit Islamic Jafariyah educational institution formed to serve the growing population of muslim communities across Victoria. 

Located on a 6.4 Acre plains of Rockbank Victoria, the College aims to service 800-1000 young learners from Foundation - Year 12.

Services will include Early Learning Centre, swimming pool, places of assembly and will be able to facilitate community functions and events. 

At it's heart, Abideen aims to raise God centric learners who are confident in their Islamic identity and have the knowledge and skills to contribute to their local and global communities and to provide a safe, holistic and nurturing environment grounded in Islamic principles with the love of our beloved prophet Muhammad (SAWW) and his Ahlul Bayt, promoting excellence in academia, critical thinking, creativity and personal achievement, through a balanced education.

Our Objectives

1. On God
Cultivate and develop the love of God and practice of Islam.
2. High Quality Education
Deliver high quality education as per the Australian Curriculum in a safe and nurturing (Tarbiyya) learning environment where the personal and academic potential of each child is developed equally
3. Support for students
Support students to realize their potential to acquire knowledge and education, with the ability to think practically and logically in problem solving. This will prepare each student with essential skills for their further education
4. Prepare the students
Prepare students to develop self-appreciation, social awareness and responsibility towards themselves and others;
5. Teachers
Provide dedicated high calibre teachers, staff and management.
6. Facilities
Provide the latest systems, tools and infrastructure.
7. Reflection
Reflect the monotheistic teachings of the Islamic tradition within our Australian context
8. Character building
Nurture character providing opportunities for reflection (Tafakkur) and accountability (Muhasaba) leading to self-awareness (Ma’rifah)
9. World experiences
Provide learning experiences that include real world connections as well as academic excellence through engaging and challenging experiences.
10. Supporting Staff
Provide spaces for continuous learning and development of staff to continuously improve their skills in creating rich learning experiences.
11. Collaborate
Work collaboratively with family units and the wider community to develop social skills.
